Entrada UNGS

The Institute of Human Development (IDH) is in charge of the new students adaptation course for entry to the Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento (UNGS), training teachers in the diverse levels of teaching and degrees and postgraduate degrees in education, communication, politics and culture. It looks for new answers in teaching in these fields from a sustainable human development perspective.

The University and the Institute of Human Development

The UNGSis a public institution founded in 1993, it orientates its work around a group of problems, which facilitates the interdisciplinary work and the links between teaching, research and professional services to the community. The Institutes are responsible for the academic activities and are all interlinked.Their knowledge and training fields define the different units: Institute of Sciences (ICI), Institute of Human Development (IDH), Institute of Industry (IdeI) and the Institute of Metropolitan Studies (ICO).

The Institute of Human Development deals with the centrality of the human dimension, growth processes and social development, trying to overcome the limitations of the disciplinary perspectives. The Institute of Human Development makes this its central focus around which the academic structure has been organised, as well as the fundamental nucleus of its research programme in the fields of education, communication, politics and culture. In the context of globalisation of the economic and political relations, this concern about human development implies a strong emphasis in the study of man in the participation and social protagonism, in human rights and inter-culturalism.

Advantages of studying in a university campus
