Asistencia social y buenos negocios: politica de la fundacion Eva Perón(1948-1955)

The present work is a study of the role fulfilled in the Argentine society by one of the most emblematic institutions of the 20th century: the Eva Perón Foundation. However, it is also intended to investigate the origins and the course of the discussions about the place that corresponded to the State in the sanction of public policies. We understand that this process, initiated in the early nineteenth century, was not linear and contained innumerable marches and countermarches. However, after a journey of more than one hundred years, the appearance of the Peronist regime resignified the implementation of these measures of deep social scope. And in that role, it was not only the State that was responsible for carrying out these policies, but it was a formally private institution (although this idea will be deeply discussed throughout this text) managed in the beginning by the wife of the President of the Nation.
