Dinámicas e interacciones de los elencos políticos del Litoral de los Ríos durante la emergencia del sistema político y del Estado nacional: obras de infraestructura y organización territorial, 1862-1883.

From 1862, a complex process of transformation in the political, economic and institutional level dawned in Argentina. Within this process, the different leaders wanted convert their expectations for the new phase of nation-state formation in definite and concrete projects. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the interactions that carried out political casts of Corrientes and Entre Rios under the process of building the national level.

The research examines the practices involved in the long run between 1862 and 1883 to resolve two outstanding issues: the development of traffic infrastructure and the final territorial organization of the provinces. This route is reconstructed at different stages considering the one hand, the negotiations within each provincial political staff and with members of other political casts for setting priorities, alliances and strategies. By another hand, formal and informal areas where sought to articulate the tools for negotiation. The press of the period, the personal and official correspondence and publications of national and provincial state institutions make the documentary corpus analyzed to reconstruct this process.

The central hypothesis, that guided the development of the chapters of this thesis is that the ability to generate consensus at the provincial level; the ability to negotiate with other ensembles and in other policy areas and the stability of each provincial cast during the national organization constituted key factors that determined the extent to which this stage minted expectations materialized.
